Connecting authentic, nuanced indigenous art with holistic health to inspire, empower and transform.
Kia ora, my name is Sarah Kane (Ngāti Kahungunu, Rakaipaaka and Rongomaiwāhine on my Dad's side. Illocano, Bilocano and Pasig on my Mum's side), Director of MamaSez.
Growing up as a whāngai in te āo Māori has been the catalyst and inspiration for my journey of reconnecting my indigenous Filipino identity. This path has culminated in a multifaceted brand where I specialise in contemporary Māori and Tatak Filipino tattooing, alongside Holistic Health and Wellness Coaching. My brand blends cultural heritage, personal growth and creative expression.
Driven by a passion for the depths of the indigenous way of being, I integrate art, story telling, movement and wellbeing into a cohesive practice. My work bridges mind, body and spirit designed to inspire, empower and transform.
Based in Gisborne, Hīna, my private studio nurtures cultural connections and experience through an authentic nuanced approach, welcoming clients from around the world.
Mauri Ora!
